Brief de Design de Logo

Polaris Land Surveying is based in British Columbia, Canada and are a company that provides professional land surveying and mapping services. We have an existing logo but want to move to something more modern and simplified. We're looking for something that is a little simpler, for use in branding initiatives, but yet still professional looking. Polaris is named after the north star, a celestial body used centuries for navigation and positioning. The new logo needs to incorporate this concept. Attached is the current version, circa 2001.
