Brief de Design de Tatouage
Summary
We are looking for a tattoo design that represents a strong bond between three best friends and will represent each of our three personalities.
Structure
We are especially interested in a triangular-based design where each side would somehow incorporate imagery and coloring to represent each individual; ideally, there would be a way to take each of the unique sides that represent us individually and bring them together to signify a sense of unity/wholeness/trinity.
Styling
In terms of tattoo types, we all lean towards a smaller to medium design that could fit on the upper thigh or the upper chest/ribcage. We all lean towards a more simplistic design, which we realize could be difficult with the amount of ideas we want to incorporate, so this is not a huge requirement. We prefer tattoos that utilize fine lines and geometry but some vivid imagery is okay (thinking this would be necessary to represent our characteristics well enough). In terms of coloring, we would like to stick to either black/gray or our three favorite colors (which I'll list below). If color is incorporated, we love the idea of using a more pastel/watercolor type shades and styles.
Overall Characteristics
All three of us are of the LGBTQ+ community, so it would be cool to see that represented somehow but it is not a requirement by any means. It would also be great if it somehow represented growth in life and friendship over the 8+ years that we've been together.
Individual Characteristics
Sean: his favorite color is a vibrant red; he works in the tech/software industry, and loves anything technology-related; he considers his spirit animal to be the fox; he is strong-minded, smart, and analytical but cares most about the comfort of others before himself
Brian: his favorite color is a light ocean blue; he has a passion for science, knowledge, and learning; he loves German Shepherds and other wolf-like animals; he is very kind and caring (a sweetheart) but has a goofy aspect to him and is always trying to make people laugh
Josh: his favorite color is jade green; he works in the nursing and healthcare industry; he doesn't have a specific favorite animal but he is attracted to those that portray strength and resilience (think lion or tiger); he is the active one of the group and is super nurturing (always taking care of others needs first)
Reference Photos
In the provided reference photos, we have two favorite designs but want to stress that we don't expect a final design to look exactly like them, these are just the two that we find the most attractive to us:
1. the triangular-based one with hints of birds and nature that is dripping from the bottom
2. the diamond structured one with multi-color and an abstract animal in each quadrant.
Final Note
With all of these ideas in mind, feel free to be as creative as possible as long as you think the idea still solves the underlying goal that we have. We are not super artistic people, so we are open to seeing anything that would represent and unite all three of us within the tattoo design even if it strays off from some of the thoughts above.
