I have updated the brief to mention two things:

1) Actual mockups of the award with your design incorporated are appreciated. It helps us visualize the finished product and is an impressive display of your design skills. This is not required, but definitely boosts your submission.

2) Your design needs to be one single piece and not dozens of individual elements. As you can see in the inspiration image, the shapes are cut out of the golden plexiglass, but it is still a single piece of plexiglass.

This award is for the Founding Graduates of our program, so it is the "Founding Graduate" award.

I would prefer not to share the name of our program here, so that none of our students find this contest. It's supposed to be a surprise. =)
