Brief de Design de Logo

I have just registered "Fornax Consulting" as a business name, and need 1) a business logo, 2) a PPT template and 3) a web page template (home page plus one sample content page).

To start with, I would like to see a logo and perhaps sample graphic / background for use with social / website / PPT. I would seek to work with the selected designer for the broader project ... please do provide a cost estimate for this.

I need the design to be somewhat generic (industry non-specific) as I have a number of "arms" I may consider for the business, e.g. marketing & business strategy consulting, personal investment planning & stock investment advice, and possibly a software tool I'm developing for sales people.

So for the design itself, I want to focus more on a link to the meaning / background for the choice of business name (see below).

I do need the design to be "professional" (inspiring confidence to both businesses and individuals alike) but I would like the design to have some life and fun to it (not too "business boring"). The name of the constellation itself is a bit "harsh" to my ear ... so hopefully the design can help to "soften" that a little.

I do have a preference for cool colours, especially shades or green and blue ... I'm aiming for a "reassuring" and "calming" feel.

Or a combination of the two!

It might be nice to reflect the "night sky" in the colour scheme somehow ... but I'm concerned that a dark theme would not work well in a business context. I'll defer to your design expertise here. :)

Background and meaning for the choice of business name:

I am Australian by birth and love astronomy. "Fornax" is the name of a star constellation in the southern hemisphere.

The three main stars in the constellation form a flattened triangle / chevron shape ... I would like this shape / star pattern to be incorporated into the logo and graphic design somehow. Ideally, the orientation would tie in with a theme of "growth" / "progress".

In addition to the main stars, this region of the sky is filled with amazing "deep sky objects" ... galaxies, interstellar dust clouds etc. such as the one below (a spiral galaxy called Fornax A):

Aside from the fact that objects like these can only be seen with powerful telescopes, achieving images like this is only possible by collecting hours and hours of data (in the form of individual captures of 2-10 mins each) and then "stacking" them atop one another. (In the case of the image linked above, 50 captures of 10 mins each to give 8 hours and 20 minutes of data, using a telescope with a 0.5 meter wide mirror.)

The target object is often barely visible in the individual frames, and can only be revealed once the data stacking and image processing is applied.

Whilst it may not be possible to evoke this idea of "data to discovery of the unseen / unrealised" in the logo itself (perhaps better to keep the logo simple and focused on the triangle constellation) it would be nice to incorporate it into the PPT and website graphic design somehow.
