Some initial feedback on some common themes on submissions so far:

* Definitely would like graphic/motif/logo that could be pulled out of the design to be used standalone as a short-form of the whole. Be that a graphic/motif to the side of the whole, or a sub-component of the whole that you can pull-out on its own. e.g. the way Apple can just show the picture of the Apple and doesn’t need anything else for people to know it’s them.

* Use of some interesting fonts got me thinking… if I wanted to use that font as part of the brand styling could I? Like webpage article titles etc? Or are there licensing implications there?

* Some of the submissions are more graphic in the font rather than just type. I like this too. I’m not sure which approach I’m leaning to more, as they both have merits

* Some modern / abstract motif graphics have been interesting to see

* If it’s too thin / delicate I don’t think it stands out too well. Flowy / calligraphy like is fine, but not to thin which could lose impact and/or not be so visible or easy to reproduce in smaller sizes or on labels etc.

* Don’t make it too mumsy, or busy

I don’t think I should have mentioned thread on the B as something I was thinking.
I wouldn’t something that included that, as long as it’s either interesting or not the only thing about it, but I’m getting a lot of very generic designs around that theme, with just a very simple thin thread making a B.
