Brief de Design de Logo

We are a home owners association for a development called Forest Glen. The developers of the neighborhood used a pine cone logo that was originally drawn by hand. (Scanned images attached.) We would like to use the old image and freshen it up, while retaining a classic look. Possibly incorporating the initials FG in the design or using the name, Forest Glen. It would be great to work HOA into the design, but not a primary element.
