Brief de Design Graphique
We are in need of some custom graphics to support one of our Consulting Service Offerings: ExpressMES
Two main graphics are needed, showing the difference between an "iterative" approach, and an "everything at once" approach. The attached slides "Graphic Concepts" show a rough idea of what we are looking for. The concept is shown in 2D, but we would like to see the final graphics in 3D.
To expand on each graphic:
"Iterative" - Each stage or step is complete and WORKING. Each step uses the previous step and builds upon it (adding new or additional functionality).
"Everything at once" - Each stage is NOT WORKING, but is a building block to the final step or stage. Think an assembly line, and only the final product can be used for anything good.
We want to show these two graphics with TRAINS.
**The key to using trains is showing "iterative" as being a working form of transportation at every stage. Each stage adds extra cars with new functionality (e.g. people transport, storage, caboose) and a more functional train station. Every stage has a locomotive (front train car) that can move.
**"Everything at once" shows building parts of the train at each stage but it cannot move until the final stage. Similar with the train station, parts are added at each stage but it is not usable until the final stage.
Graphic 1 ("Iterative" ) Shows 5 different stages that progress, getting bigger/more functional, but are ALL FUNCTIONAL. Each of these steps builds upon work and knowledge of the previous phase but adds further functionality or capacity.
Graphic 2 ("everything at once") Shows 5 different steps along the path to the final object (train station and working train). Each step is NOT WORKING and cannot be used until the final step is complete (putting a roof on/attaching cars to the train). One way of showing this is with illustrations of construction taking place.
All 5 steps should be evenly spaced. Designs should have lots of blank space so graphs/lines can be added behind in the future.
Once these initial designs are complete. We will use them to further build out graphs showing the major differences.
Final note: We don't expect perfection on the first try, so be prepared for feedback on entries to help improvement towards the final design choice.
