Brief de Design de Logo

I would like to have our Yacht club logo redesigned to something more modern.

I have attached a logo from RCNP Yacht club, which I would like to use for inspiration, as the font and colour is ideal. I really like how the font is front and centre, and the colour of navy blue. Then the logo is in the background, much lighter shade of blue / opacity.

-Shape of logo should incorporate an outline of an octagon, which represents the Goderich Town center square. (maybe in a much lighter blue, like in RCNP logo). Use of a crown, similar to the one in the current logo would be great, maybe smaller on top as in the RCNP logo. (this represents the Queen/King)
- Logo Should Include GYC then GODERICH YACHT CLUB in smaller letters all upper case, with the G, Y, And C in larger font to show upper case like in the RCNP logo.

-an abstract logo of a sailboat could be used in the logo, I have attached an image of an example.

-alternately, you could use a light house somehow in the logo, please see Goderich Logo attached.

-the propeller in the current logo should not be reused.
