Brief de Design de Logo

Clever Property Solutions is a small company based in Rhode Island that purchases/sells homes through creative financing. We help sellers get what they want (usually after they had a hard time selling with a realtor), and help buyers who have had a hard time qualifying for traditional financing. We solve problems and create a win/win opportunity for everyone involved.
I need a logo for a website I am building, which will also be used on business cards, flyers, and maybe t-shirts too. There does not necessarily need to be a house as part of the logo, like most real estate related businesses have, though I am not opposed to it if designed uniquely. It would be interesting to see something different that plays off the word "Clever".
For the text, the work "Clever" should be larger, using a somewhat plain and bold font that is easily visible and readable.
The text "Property Solutions" should be smaller, less prominent, and less bold.
Overall, I'd like to see something that is simple, not too busy, and easily recognizable.
I'm not certain the best color to use. I am partial to shades of red and blue, but would consider other colors if it presents well in the design.
The design should communicate clever/unique problem solving and cooperation.
Examples:
Upflip - I like their unique font (I'm not saying I want the same font)
RIPTA - see RIPTA.com and notice the wave in the lettering/logo. It might be interesting to have a house/houses, a house key, or something similar, merged into the lettering of "Clever".
