Brief de Design de Couverture de Livre
I'm writing a series of books about the collision between Indigenous and European cultures and colonialism's horrible effects on Indigenous peoples. The main characters are a young English boy and a young Mi'kmaw girl who fall in love. The series will take place in six different time frames over 300 years (they're vampies.) I want each of the covers for the six books to look similarly Harlequinesque, with outfits changing to suit the time setting. The first book is set in 1749-55. The male character should be in a British soldier's uniform, the girl should be in a peasant dress. To the designer/artist, I've added 3 files as a rough guideline. I like the background of the first file. I need the girl to look indigenous. Can you put a handsome soldier beside her in a tattered uniform? He should have reddish-brown hair. The reader should find them sexually appealing. They're obviously facing some danger, and have been running for their lives...Across the Top, we need the Title 'Colonial Monsters' in Gothic Font, and at the bottom, my name: Mark Piper. The final size of the book cover will be 5 x 8.
