Brief de Design de Logo

We are a community non-profit - DORCAS is an acronym for (Development Organization Reaching Communities Achieve Success), that was started in 2008. We are now doing a complete rebranding. Originally we offered after school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) lessons to children in our community. Our aim was to be an extra resource that made math and sciences understandable and relatable. As such we had a robotics lab, solid state and digital electronics lab, math tutoring, chess club, and teenage girl mentoring in the sciences. Additionally we ran health fares for senior citizens where we offered free screenings and checkups. Now as we begin our rebrand we are expanding our focus by adding a community garden wherein we can teach people how to grow sustainable foods in an urban (city) setting. Our community has been labeled as a food desert - it is easy to buy processed foods, but difficult to by fresh vegetables. We want to design a logo that in word and graphic shows that we are growing things, i.e. growing plants, growing people, growing lives, growing community. The color palette should represent “life” colors of plants/flowers/trees - or things that grow out of the ground and it should embrace the idea of “community” coming together to grow life/opportunity/knowledge, etc.. the tag line should be “Growing Minds, Gardens, Community”
