Brief de Design de Logo
We need a logo design for a new scientific research project at the University of Basel, Switzerland called the EPOCH project. The study investigates the influence of exercise timing (i.e. the time of the day at which someone exercises) on muscular strength, metabolic health, and gene expression. Important to note is that this project is about improving health and not athletic performance.
Features of the logo should include:
1) indicators for time (e.g. clock); 2) indicators for exercise training (e.g. running, weightlifting) 3) indicators for muscular strength or muscle structure (e.g. muscle fiber);
Features of the logo may also (but not necessarily) include:
4) indicators for metabolic health (e.g. blood drop)
5) indicators for gene expression.
The Logo is meant to be used on (scientific) presentations and posters, the instructional materials, and flyers.
Updates
We thank the designer for the submission we received so far.
Please note, the research project is about the influence of the timing of exercise on human health, in particular muscles, genes, and blood.
What we liked:
- That many designs included indicators for time like a watch
- That some designs included indicators for exercise
What we were missing:
- Only very few designs included indicators for exercise or any of the health factors. The design does not need to include all three (genes, muscle, blood), but should at least include one.
What we did not like:
- We are not physicist. Therefore, using atoms as an indicator for a research study is misleading.
- This study is about health and not about athletic performance. Therefore, pictures of large muscles or huge dumbbells are misleading.
