Brief de Design de Logo

We're a French company of general engineering (home and flats construction, buy/renovate and resell etc….) and we open a new branch for the company specialized in renovation, home extension and decoration. We are gonna use the name “HABITAT CONCEPT” which was the name of an old company of ours. The old colors of the logo were black and yellow and we would like to stick to the black (also need a version with a white background of course) and turn the yellow into a brushed gold. If those colors don't ring any bells then be creative, dare something else, we love colors … lots of colors ….
We would like a version without tagline and one with the tagline: “Extension, renovation & interior decoration”
Clearly we are NOT looking for a typical contractor logo with tools and buildings or houses…. It has been seen way too much…. We are looking for something fresh, design… we want designers to dare, to be bold… to set free their creativity. We are looking for something else…
