Brief de Design de Logo

We need a crest/seal to be used for letterhead/t-shirts/news publications/all other uses for Signature School. Signature School is the #2 most challenging school in the nation (Jay Mathews Challenge Index), #1 best charter school in the nation, and #3 best high school in the nation (US News & World Report).

Mission statement: The mission of the Signature School is to meet the needs of the self-motivated learner in a progressive environment driven by global concerns. We emphasize rigor and excellence in academics, the arts, integrated technologies, and community service.
We need these symbols to be incorporated:
• Quill – for motivation/fidelity
• Globe – for diversity/globally-focused school
We need help deciding how to represent these traits/values:
• Excellence
• Scholarship
• Innovation
If any of the above words would be better encapsulated with the usage of a Latin word, please feel free to use.
We are leaning towards a round logo, and for the symbols to be in the middle – we have attached an image for a rough template. We would like it to be classic, sophisticated, traditional, and not modern.
The colors that we primarily use include black, silver/gray, and white and we have no mascot.
