Brief de Design de Logo

Need a logo design (primarily in a roundel-style) for a research lab that centers on travel behavior research -- for example, how people choose modes and destinations. The lab usually takes a social networks approach and we would like to incorporate that into the logo's design. The sample design incorporates that inside the roundel through nodes and edges representing a social network. The mobility angle is possible in the design (for example, images of cars, buses, trains, planes and movement) as well. The sample design tries to show that with arrows, but I could see possibly incorporating the travel modes along the edge of the roundel perhaps. We are looking for three designs: (1) The basic roundel that at least incorporates social network iconography (with no text); (2) A logo that incorporates the lab's name (either directly on the logo or below it); and (3) a logo and lab name design (could still include the roundel or not) which can be used along a banner, so a more rectangular design.
