Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for my software company. The official company name is: Provident Designs LLC.

The "designs" part is that we will create custom software solutions for small businesses, for a reasonable price. For example, a small business has been in business for two years. They track their customer, sales, and employee data in Excel spreadsheets. This company wants to start a marketing campaign and expand their business, but first they need to make sure their computer systems are ready for the upcoming growth. They need to manage their information better using a database instead of Excel spreadsheets. We will help analyze their business and create a database to meet their needs so they will be prepared to grow.

Our target market is small businesses who want to expand, but they are willing to take the time first to get themselves organized, to be provident themselves, to plan for the future carefully.

On my website, I'm going to use a house-building analogy and explain that it is important to build a strong "foundation" or else later on, your house will fall down. The same thing works with computer systems: if you don't do it right, it will cost you down the road. I will explain that thinking "providently" is being willing to pay a little more up front to get a quality product rather than going cheap and ending up regretting it in the future.

The logo does not need to contain the name of the company or the letters PD. It can, but it doesn't have to. It could have an image of a house or a foundation. I'll leave it open to your creativity. It could include a symbol that represents the ideas that I've described above. I don't have any colors in mind. Again, you can use your own creativity.

The overall impression should be one of quality, trustworthiness, reliability, efficiency, cost-savings (economical but not cheap -- mid-range in terms of pricing), and a little humor would be fine too, as long as it's professional. Think of the qualities that you would want in a consulting company: someone who understands your business, provides quality and reliability, etc.
