Setting Appointments in the Smartphone World
Add your question or comments below
Please put both my name, Gail B. Goodman, and my nickname "The PhoneTeacher" as the author. Some of you are eliminating my name, which I want on the front of the book.
Please only send one of each design please. When you are revising, some of you are sending multiples and I am running out of my design options. I need to see more from other designers. If you submitted something, thank you. Please do not submit a revision at this time. I'd like to see what other artists come up with.
Hi Project Owner! The PhoneTeacher is the book title? Or just your nickname? If no, then what's the book title? Thanks.
The book is Setting Appointments in the Smartphone World, by Gail B. Goodman, The PhoneTeacher
The title was in the brief. No space between Phone and teacher. It’s one word.
Thanks,
Gail
Could you please comment in more detail on these challenges created by smartphones in your professional area. Thanks.
Juan: The challenge we all have is that no one picks up their phone if you're not a contact. In general, many people leave their phones on SILENT of VIBRATE, so people who prospect in this current climate have to do specific things to get anyone on the phone. In addition, I give them the words to use with those prospects. Financial services is a tricky business because Americans don't want to talk about their money. So it's an uphill battle for my advisors to get new clients.
Mr. Gail, thank you so much for your comment.
Researching a little more on the subject, I understood that there are several difficulties in this area. Please correct me if I'm wrong:
1) There is a "new generation" of customers who want autonomy in mobile experiences that streamline processes, simplify language and eliminate bureaucracy. And there seems to be a shortage of applications in the market that meet this demand.
2) The older generation, despite using the phone, is not always available to answer.
3) The elderly public, either because they do not master technology or for reasons of limitation, prefer physical contact.
4) The current economic situation of americans inhibits them from talking about their money.
5) Part of the professionals working in insurance is reaching middle age and many still offer resistance to technology.
Considering all this context, don't you think that the cover of the book deserves a deeper and more comprehensive approach?
Thanks for understanding and sorry for the english.
Juan,
I don't think any of those are difficulties, but they are considerations. Not all 'Older People' ignore their phone when it rings. I find younger people are less apt to pick up and wish you would text.
The financial services industry is highly regulated so some things you bring up will be affected by that.
I am hoping you, as an artist, can translate all of these details into a beautiful cover that immediately states what I teach - which is how to get financial appointments in our current high tech world.
I appreciate your thoughfulness.
Gail
