Father of Storms by Dean Jones
Book cover should reflect the fantasy genre the story is based.
Seth (the main character) is a mid 30's man who is battle hardened and has long hair and well kept beard.
A scene in the book that may suit for imagery is where he ties the priest who led the village to kill Seth's wife to a tree beside his church and makes him watch as the village is slaughtered by Seth with his sword & the lightning he brings down on the church and houses.
The mara are key to Seth's story and are twin demons with pixie features and hooded cloaks.

I would like realistic imagery with combination of energy / lightning usage and intense characterisation of Seth.
