Brief de Design de Logo
We are seeking a logo design for a Solar Power Rural Electrification Project in Tanzania called Kigoma Sola ("Kigoma" is the region where the project is taking place and "Sola" = the Swahili spelling for Solar).
Here are some attributes/ideas we feel are important to be conveyed in the logo concept:
• Economic development and improved quality of life for rural citizens
• Electrifying an entire region of Tanzania (Kigoma Region)
• Introducing an environmentally sustainable energy resource to the region
• Solar Technology
• Sun/Sun Rays

Overview of the Project
The Millennium Challenge Account – Tanzania (MCA-T), a branch of the Tanzanian government financed by the government of the U.S.A., has committed significant resources to implement a rural electrification project in Kigoma Rural and Kasulu Districts of Kigoma Region.
Over the next eighteen months, the Project will provide solar electric systems to a large number of public institutions in the two districts. The Project will install solar systems in 120 dispensaries, 10 health centers, 45 secondary schools and 25 village market places.
The Project will also stimulate the market for solar home systems for farmers and public employees living in the rural areas of the two districts. The project will work with established farmer and worker associations to assist them in procuring solar systems for their members, at wholesale prices, on credit and with small subsidies from the Rural Energy Agency.

Our printed materials will often be photocopied in villages with low quality photocopiers, so the logo needs to be on a white back ground and in colors that will show up when copied into in grey scale.
