so we are the web developers, and it is the client that will actually choose the final design. they asked for us to forward the designs to them on april 4. we have gone through and put 5 stars next to the designs we think are the best for them to consider. we'll provide some feedback, but please note it is from the web developers and not the actual client who will choose.
1. the designs that look less like templates and use more unique design are best. using the logo as a watermark or in other unique ways is great.
2. we don't know (and i don't think they know) what they want to do about the color scheme. we think they want something other than the electric blue and gold. they said something more soothing. but they have not been specific. they would love for a designer to come up with a color scheme that they see and then they say "that's it!" overall, the color needs to say professional, experienced, but young and dynamic.
3. some of the designs look great on paper, but we the developers think will be a nightmare to make look good on all devices. so we've not put 5 stars next to a few that look great, but seem crazy to code.
Thanks for all your hard work. We wish they would choose a few of you! It is hard to only choose one, knowing others worked hard too. But we'll come back to DesignCrowd again for future projects too.
