TASK SUMMARY
We want to design an event-ticket style brochure that will fit into an envelope which will be delivered to all residents in an apartment building. The user will be able to tear off the stub and enter into a raffle to win 3 free lunches. The main area (non-stub area) of the ticket should communicate the key selling point for using the service (see below), as well as mysterious promo code section that entices them to look inside the envelope for a special promo code that offers them an additional 50% off their first lunch (at an amazing price of $3.99/combo).
The "raffle stub" should ask for 2 answers (user need to answer both of them to qualify): (1) Write down the favorite dish name from this week's menu (can be viewed in the app after they've download it) (2) "Have you entered the code? Yes/No (If you can't figure out, we could call you to assist.)". At the bottom of the stub should ask user to write down their mobile phone number so we can identify who they are in case they win. That's it!
The "main area" of the ticket should contain (1) a QR code that user can scan and download (2) a pictorial instruction of how to enter the promo code (3) logo walls showcasing the partnering restaurants. See example in the upload files (the one containing the big QR code).
The "ticket brochure" should be double-sided color and 2" x 5.5" (once folded along the stub seam, it should be 2" x 4" and fit into an envelope). We're flexible on the design style but it needs to (1) maximise user desire to act on the promo code and act on the raffle (with time limit etc. to create urgency) (2) easy to read (don't make user think!) (3) have some orange so it'll be "on brand" with what's in our app.
You can play on the users' desire for GREAT lunch deals ("save money, save time") OR can play with their hatred/dislike towards DoorDash/Deliveroo/UberEats etc other expensive food delivery alternatives ("Say bye to DoorDash!" "No fees, know price!") or something like that. Feel free to be creative ;) it's all about how to grab attentions and convert users to take action quickly in this world of many, many emails and brochures!
