Brief de Design de Logo

The existing business MacroVentures (macroventures.co.nz) has merged with a new business and is rebranding as "Vecta". This is an engineering consultancy that specializes in very boring :) engineering disciplines like designing the structures for bridges and buildings (mainly apartments and the like) and also civil engineering, which is essentially pipes and drains in roads and residential subdivisions.

The logo doesn't have to reference the engineering nature of the business but needs to be contemporary to indicate a level of newness.
At the same time is doesn't need to be too funky, as to alienate our core customers, (property developers and building owners who are typically cost conscious).
