Brief de Web Design

My sons California based small business "HutchFit Coaching" with new subsidiary called "HutchFit 4 Kids". I don't understand coding the website, is that the function squarespace provides?
In the end I want a working website, squarespace, I have a google workspace domain, email and subscription to squarespace & google workspace. URLs include hutchfitcoaching.com and hutchfit4kids.com. I have an idea of what I am looking for in a website and I have some examples of website designs I like, but I am 100% open to your design concepts and artistic flair. email is brady@hutchfitcoaching.com

I am looking for someone to design the site, help me understand how to make "minor" changes and hopefully have a long term relationship on the tech side of the business. I need an Idea of pricing for future changes (Rate T&M).
There are 2 businesses so I need a way to incorporate both the main company and a subsidiary into 1 website or link it somehow. I am open to your suggestions how to accomplish that. Do I need 2 completely separate websites or can it be done on 1 site directing you to different pages. I read conflicting info if it is a BAD idea to link 2 different websites so I will defer to your advice.
