Brief de Design de Logo

Seeking logo design services for our new outdoor retail brand, MOXY Outdoors. We are opening a new outdoor gear and clothing (hiking, backpacking, paddling etc.) store in downtown Durham, North Carolina, USA called MOXY Outdoors (yah!).

Our target customers are outdoor enthusiasts and newcomers interested in trying outdoor adventure. MOXY means bold and self-sufficient and these are values we want to portray. We also want to portray an inclusive and positive vibe and to avoid anything too macho-looking.

Some specific requirements for the logo include:
1.) The logo should work for storefront signage, coffee cups, t-shirts and water bottles, as well as digital use for website and mobile app.
2.) The logo needs to be simple enough to be used in small formats and to be embroidered in silhouette.
3.) The logo should include a mosaic image of an octopus as well as the word 'MOXY'. There should be an option that also includes the full name 'MOXY Outdoors'. For the font, we prefer something simple, maybe slightly masculine, with relatively thin strokes.
4.) The shape of the mosaic 'tiles' is up to the artist but you may need to utilize a variety of tile sizes to make the image look like an octopus. We think a regular shape (squares, hexagons, etc.) will work best but custom shapes can also be used. Some variation in tile sizes might look great and the edges do not need to be smoothed.
5.) The mosaic should be colorful. We would like an image with a variety of colors across the body of the octopus. Natural colors should be used - an artist's palette might be inspired by the variety found in real octopuses or we also like the idea of a broad or even rainbow spectrum of bright colors.
6.) Feel free to exaggerate the size of the head/body and to simplify the legs. No need for eyes or other internal details - the logo should be all about the shapes and colors. All eight legs do not need to be shown but the shape should also not be too cartoonish. The winning logo will have a balance of detail - so it looks like an octopus - without being too complex to look good in a variety of sizes.
7.) Please also include black-on-white and white-on-black silhouettes of the shape in outline. It's OK if these end up looking rough or pixellated around the edges.
8.) Please also include a a simplified color palette of what has been used in the drawing for use on our website.
