Brief de Design de Logo

The Comfort Lake-Forest Lake Watershed District (CLFLWD) is a special-purpose unit of local government that focuses specifically on water resources. We’re an environmentally focused scientific organization funded by taxes and grants. The District’s mission is to protect and improve its water resources through adaptive management approaches and education of local stakeholders
Water resources are dynamic systems, fluctuating with climate, shifting with seasons, and changing over years and decades. The management of water resources requires an equally dynamic strategy; a strategy that can adapt and change with the climate, the seasons, and through the years as the resources reflect the changing conditions of the watershed. Adaptive management is an iterative approach of implementation, evaluation, and course correction that reflects the dynamic nature of water resources.
The District prides itself on using an adaptive management structure to react to changing conditions while also remaining mindful of the long-term goals for District resources. One of the primary goals of the District is to restore and maintain lake water quality as appropriate to each resource. The CLFLWD does a lot of work with lakes, streams, and wetlands, with the goal of restoring the natural habitat wherever possible.
While the CLFLWD doesn’t necessarily have “competitors” per say, we are regularly confused with other government entities in the area including the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the City of Forest Lake, Washington County and Chisago County.
The CLFLWD is looking for a logo that is identifiable, interesting, and representative of the District’s mission and values. The logo must be distinctive, easily scalable and lend itself well to use in both print and digital formats.
