Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo that will currently be used only for business cards, but may be used on letterheads, stickers and signs in the future. The logo does not come with a tag line or company name.

This is for a child and adolescent psychiatrist. I am usually getting referrals for children from 10 to 18, fewer boys than girls. Mothers are more likely to initiate referrals. An appropriate logo should connect to this population
My work tends to be based on a few principles which I like to share with families. I prefer to build on the patient or the family's strengths, rather than a flowchart based approach. I will therefore rely on fostering hope and resilience. Whenever possible I will include and involve the family. Therefore I will focus on formulation (the whole picture) rather than the diagnosis . In my initial screening I ask them about the Team around the child.

There is no tag line for this logo. If I use it for a business card, the card will include "Dr my -name" First name has 7 alphabet.s second name has 5. If I do use it on a business card, most likely it will be a card with a white background.

Art isn't my forte. Here are a few likes or dislikes when it comes to my choice of a logo.
I would avoid image of brains and trees, animals.
I don't mind line diagrams of figures that symbolize people, family, looking forward to something positive or hopeful, bridge, hands, support etc .

I seem to prefer solid art, line art, minimalist and water colours . I prefer curves and soft edges rather than geometric lines and jagged edges.
I don't necessarily need circle outlines, but if that is what is offered, then full circle creates and impression that it limits the possibilities , whereas a crescent or a encircling ( secure )base with the closed end or base on the left , lower left or bottom and the open borderless parts on the right or upper right is preferred.
Colours - brighter, happier colours probably preferred. No specific concept regarding how many colours or whether a gradient for a single colour is suitable. I've liked samples of all types of colour choices.
