Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for my commercial real estate appraisal company, (The) Belfast River Company.

The company's purpose is to value commercial and complex real estate (buildings and/or land). We are located in Richmond Hill, Georgia, USA near Savannah and along the Atlantic coastline. The logo should reflect the coastal or southern identity of the area.

Please note, by "coastal" I don't mean beaches... I mean rivers and salt marshes. See attached image for some imagery to give some ideas about the area. Logo does not necessarily need to incorporate any or all of that imagery, just giving to give you a feel for the "look" of our area.

I have also included my current wordmark on the attached image. The font and look does not necessarily have to be the same or even similar, I am just including it to show what I currently have. Please feel free to be creative.

I am not tied to any specific colors but do lean towards earthy blues and/or greens. Would like logo to communicate #1 professionalism/competence, #2 coastal location (e.g. the namesake "Belfast River" and #3 (not as important) the fact that I deal with commercial real estate (e.g. no logos with buildings that are clearly identified as residential homes).

If I had to give a list of things I DO NOT want in the logo it would be anything to do with the beach and any main imagery of a building that is clearly a residential house (and not a commercial building). The only exception would be a plantation style architecture like those shown in the attached image where it's not immediately clear whether it's a house or a commercial/institutional building.

The logo should be designed in a manner that will convert well to one or two-color printing so that it looks good in black and white as well as color. Please no "photo" style or grayscale/etc. logos.

I generally prefer a minimalist or "flat" style that will convert well to different formats as well as both dark and light backgrounds.

For the logo text, "The" is an optional part of the company name and can either be included or omitted, whichever looks best. In my current logo I have included it as smaller text tucked up over "Belfast River Company".

I will need a vector copy of the final product.
