Several months ago a large pharma company decided to invest in a new technology group named the Complex in vitro Systems (CiS) group. The mission of this new team is to help pharma adopt and use complex models of human tissue in a dish to (1) make more effective drugs for patients, (2) better predict the safety of a drug before clinical trials, and (3) reduce our reliance on animal studies. The CiS group uses human stem cells and derives human tissues from them, applying engineering approaches to better mimic conditions in the human body like blood flow, stretch and stain. These types of models go by several names in our field which you can look up for inspiration - namely organ-on-chip, organoids-on-chip, or microphysiological systems. The logo of the large pharma company to which we belong has DNA in the logo. We could do a spin off of that or go towards a more engineering type of feeling for the design. The final design should be very clean (corporate looking, not gimmicky) and the color palette should stay with blues or purples.
