As I plan to start working on the concept soon, could you please let me know if the coding phase is required at this instance?

So i'm not really familiar with "coding" I have a website now through godaddy and wix. Is the coding something I need to incorporate it to replace those sites I do have now?

Coding means the live preview/functional part of the website. Hence I was asking whether you were looking for a design layout (static pages with no code), or an actual coded website that needs to be implemented and replace the current one. Hope this helps, many thanks.

The coding part is not mentioned in the brief but as I can see from the above discussion you want that too, but for that, you will have to take coding add-on from the designcrowd for extra bucks, but I recommend you to continue this contest without coding and later after finalization of the design you can ask for the coding phase, as it will be helpful to many designers here including me who doesn't have coding as their skill set. So they can also participate in your contest and show their design skills. But still, if you want both (design as well as coding) together from this contest so, please clarify this in your brief as it will remove unwanted confusion.
