Brief de Design de Logo

I run a small land survey company here in the uk. I have a logo design but feel I need an updated one or even a totally new one. I work within the construction industry. I have a long company name but most of my clients seem to call me B Y Surveys and it is simple. I work with survey and engineering equipment, draw up topographical surveys and other engineering surveys. that is why the engineering sign was previously used in my logo.
