Brief de Design de Logo

We need a new logo for our organization that provides grants and resources to public schools, teachers, and students in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We would like the final design to feel:
*playful
*modern, and
*minimal

It is also important that the logo communicate our vision for:
*community-supported education
*excellence in education

We are a 20-year-old non-profit foundation focused on supporting initiatives that enhance the resources available to the schools, teachers, and students of Dare County. We do this by offering:
*grants to classrooms and schools for innovative tools, materials, experiences, etc.
*grants to teachers for professional development
*affordable teacher housing, and
*college scholarships

We are open to designs with and without the organization name.
We DO NOT LIKE our current logo, which is now 20-years-old, and want something divergent, fresh, and new.
