Brief de Design de Logo

ABOUT GHOSTRUN:
Ghostrun is a DJ collaboration that plays Drum & Bass music and hosts small outdoor festival-type events. Drum & Bass music is bass-heavy and rhythmic, usually played loudly so that people can truly feel the music in their bodies. This is bone-rattling music that takes listeners on a journey, inspiring people to dance, move, shake. This dark, heavy, deep bass music offers an opportunity to be fully present in the moment; to let go of fear, tension and expectations; to shake loose any “stuckness”; and ultimately to be uplifted. In this way, Ghostrun’s music offers a balanced duality - dark music that brings out the light in people. The underlying vibe at any Ghostrun event is peaceful and loving, even when the music is dark and heavy. Ghostrun offers music as medicine for our times, unafraid to move through the shadows, inspiring movement and release, offering opportunities for people to come together through the healing power of music.

DESIGN IDEAS:
The sketch below shows one idea we like, though we are not tied to this idea and are open to whatever creative ideas you feel inspired to submit. We like the idea of the two triangles as a visual representation of balanced duality - they are also the alchemical symbols of fire and water, as well as symbols used to represent masculine and feminine.

LOGO TYPE:
We’d like the logo to be a “combination mark” that includes both text and image. We would like it to be designed in such a way that the image only can stand alone (without the text) and be unique and recognizable. Additionally, we’d like it to be possible for the logo to be animated in the future, so we’d like to plan for that possibility from the beginning. As an example, the animation could start with the image only and reveal the full logo with text (such as the two triangles arranged in an hourglass symbol - as the two triangles move away from each other, the words are revealed).

NOTE: We uploaded an additional sketch for the logo idea with triangles at start and end - this is meant to show the font as italic so that the right line of the N is angled to match the final triangle, just as the G is angled to match the first triangle.
