Brief de Design de Logo

Company
A starting financial company, specialising in investments into small, fast-growing companies. Not tech, not start-ups, not software but rather manufacturing industries and services.
The asset of the company are its senior investment professionals. The personnel will be 10 persons.

What we do: We help investee-companies grow, by putting our expertize in their use on several levels. During our ownership, we want to achieve certain pre-defined goals for the company we have invested in, be it internationalisation, better manufacturing set-up and efficiency, new product launches or integrating corporate responsibility into all operations. Entrepreneurs are typically very good with customers and basic manufacturing, but they appreciate help in creating next steps, preferably with someone who is willing to put in the time, effort and valuable ideas.

Our ownership can span from 2 to 10 years of ownership in a company.


Name of the company: Pilotos Ltd

Pilotos is Greek and means a (sea) pilot. One that jumps onto boat on rough, unknown waters, helps the captain steer the boat, and jumps off when the waters are easier to navigate again.

b : a person who is qualified and usually licensed to conduct a ship into and out of a port or in specified waters
c : a person who flies or is qualified to fly an aircraft or spacecraft

We think the name reflects our role in our invested companies quite well: we come in, we help, we go out after some years. Our home market, Finland and the other Nordic countries, are located by the Baltic Sea.

We would like the name to figure in the logo.

Colours

We use the following colours in our presentations. However, white-gray-black combinations are also welcome in the logo.

Use of the logo

For the time being, our uses for the logo will be straight-forward:
• Power point presentations
• Business cards
• Letterheads

So the logo should “work” on paper. There will be no complicated business gifts or produce at the beginning of our operations.
