Brief de Design de Logo

Need a logo design for a new law firm. The firm provides corporate law (contract review, mergers and acquisitions, incorporation and restructuring) and commercial leasing law advice. It will work with small to medium size clients to help them grow their business, as well as empower them by providing them with a better understanding of their legal matters and documents. We would like it to look more modern than the traditional stuffy looking law firm logos (no scales of justice, columns or gavel), but at the same time it needs to appear professional, collaborative and create a feeling of working with a trusted advisor.
