Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo design that reflects my business as a custom designer/builder/fabricator of custom motorcycle parts, as well as industrial design projects. I want something minimalistic, clean, industrial and mechanical looking. The idea I'd like to play off of, would be 3 long skinny bars almost like 3 capital I's (like this: III) close together incorporated into a mechanical gear, or gears with the words "Three Strikes Designs" in, or below the logo somewhere. The idea is a logo that could be used on it's own as well without any text. Preferably a design in 2D, and another extruded to look 3D, as I would eventually like to cut and/or stamp the logo out of metal. I'm including the gear clipart that I sketched it from, a font I like but don't know the name of, and a quick and dirty sketch done by hand...I want something very close to that, but I'm open to other suggestions /variations on that theme as well.
