Brief de Design de Logo
A logo for our 2 shops which are joined together. We sell new and old books, cds, dvds, vinyl and sheet music as well as related products - cards, globes, book & music accessories. The business was established in 1963.
David's is a venue for many many community events, related to books and music and ideas - book talks, public debates, live bands, signings, children's activities etc.
Books account for approx 75% of business.
We travel to buy books & records and attend many outside events with book stalls.
The logo should emphasize our independence, distinctiveness and positive spirit - see our website www.davids-bookshops.co.uk for more about the business.
N.B. We currently have a number of signs and letterhead which use the font Mistral bold for the word David's and Palatino for Books & Music in green and yellow (pantone refs 350U & 1235U) so the logo should be complementary to these (though not necessarily in these colours).

Contrary to initial brief, you do not need to include any words in the design.
