Brief de Design de Logo

We are opening an independent bookshop and we need a logo. This logo will be on our website and will also be our store sign. The name of our store is Entershine Bookshop. The word entershine is an old word in the English language that is not used much anymore. It means “to glimmer or shine through something, or in dappled, dispersed lights.” It is most often used to describe sunlight shining through trees to the forest floor. We would like a logo that somehow captures this idea. More specifically, what we are thinking about is a logo that involves nature, the sun, water, possibly trees (preferably birch trees), and also somehow conveys the magic of books. Or, if it doesn’t work with a book in the image, the logo could convey books—like a logo that might look like a linocut print or woodcut that could be in an older book. I know that doesn’t give you a lot of detail, but we are open to your ideas and artistic interpretation. We want our bookshop to feel warm, inviting, and a little magical. Also, please include the name of the store (Entershine Bookshop) in the logo in some way. We don’t expect the logo to be perfect right away, we’d just like to see what you might be able to come up with. Thank you!

• We are open to your artistic interpretation. It would be nice to include the sun and maybe some trees in the logo, but not absolutely necessary. We are in Northern Canada, so something conveying nature is preferrable.

• Image of a book. Image of the sun (shining). Also, please consider including water (rather than trees) in the logo. We are located near Lake Superior, one of the largest lakes in the world.
