Brief de Design de Couverture de Livre
I need a book cover for a children's book size A 4 which can be used for print and ebook. The story has about 16,000 words and ten hand-made watercolor illustrations. One of these should be on the book cover (file provided). The design of the book cover should match the illustration.
The book is for children aged 6-10 years old.
Name of the book: Master Mouse
written by: Mirja Camphausen
illustrated by: Aurora Paulina Kay
Thank you!
Synopsis:
Master Mouse is the story of a frustrated mouse who is the leader of a questing team, comprised of himself, a racoon, a slug, and a giraffe – Master Mouse (ambitious, but with low self-esteem that he covers up by being bossy), Gemma Giraffe (beautiful, forgetful, and unable to read), Sally Slug (confident and strong, but extremely slow) and Robert Racoon (jolly and practical, yet single-mindedly focused on food). One of the many running jokes throughout the book is that Master Mouse thinks Robert is a pig, a confusion which is only resolved near the end of the book. Master Mouse sees himself as the rightful leader of the team, as he is by far the smartest. He also fears he will not be successful in completing his quest, as he has been forced to team up with less than ideal quest teammates. During the team’s quest, Master Mouse loses each of his team members, one by one. Following the revelation of her illiteracy, Gemma opts to stay behind at the first obstacle, Robert runs off after apples for lunch, and Sally gets distracted. Master Mouse is excited to be able to go off on his own but gets snatched by an eagle. The other three team members band together to rescue Master Mouse in haphazard circumstances. They all return to Quest school jubilant and ready to receive their diplomas, not realising that Master Mouse will not qualify because he was the one who had to be rescued. When Master Mouse does not get his diploma, the team come together and recall that during the rescue Master Mouse had in fact also saved Sally Slug, allowing them all to graduate together.
With so many different characteristics, the team show that they are stronger together than as individuals. By embracing their weaknesses and vulnerabilities they learn to cooperate and in the end this helps them to succeed. The team agree to stick together for future adventures.

Text for blurb on the back of the book cover:
"Master Mouse tells the delightful story of four animals on a quest. These four could not be more different – there is a mouse, a giraffe, a slug, and a pig. But wait – is this really true? Master Mouse, who thinks he is the leader, seems to have missed his zoology lessons at school.
There is more than one team competing to complete the quest. Can our odd team beat the lions? Who will be faster? Does being faster mean that you win? Find out what really matters in the end!"
