Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for a new heavy construction company. The company does excavation, road development, rockscaping, dirt work, etc. using BIG equipment like road graders, front-end loaders and dump trucks. The company is located in the mountains of Southwest Colorado.

The company is run by a family in a small community and most projects are smaller than what you would find in a city, so we want the logo to be have that friendly, accessible feel, but still be bad-ass. After all, we have the best equipment and do the best work of anyone around, while still being honest and easy to work with. The logo also needs to be simple as it will be used on everything from envelopes that you see up close to being painted on the door of a dump truck that you would see from far-away.

The company is named "Rio Grande Civil LLC". Unfortunately, most of the customers don't understand what "Civil" means (e.g. they ask why we didn't just name it Rio Grand Construction or Rio Grand Excavation). So, we'd like the logo just to use the "RGC" initials, as that's become the company nickname. We also want to include equipment (or part of a piece of equipment) on the logo. We are thinking of a black, grayscale, and bright green color palette that is immediately recognizable. That said, we need to be able to have versions to use on a white background (e.g. t-shirt) and a black background (e.g. web).
