Brief de Design de Logo
We need a logo and social media account images for a new community. This is unapologetically a safe space for Black and Brown professionals. A passion project (unpaid and free to join) this is a group is being created for people of Asian, African, Latinx, Caribbean, Indigenous, Middle Eastern, and Pacific Islander descent who work in associations and nonprofits.
The public description currently reads like this:
We spend most of our waking hours at work—whether remotely, in an office with others, or travelling for business. Many of us count on our work to advance our career, fulfill our purpose, pay our bills, or support ourselves (and maybe spouses, kids, or parents too). Yet the painful reality is this: many of our workplaces are not psychologically and physiologically safe for every person. Instances and examples of workplace inequality, discrimination, exclusion and racism are rampant.
If you’ve ever had to give a thought to whether a past, current or future workplace is a safe space because of your race (social construct) and ethnicity (cultural), this group is for you. Why? Because having safe spaces where you are fully seen, valued, and supported is a non-negotiable part of your well-being.
Here we celebrate each other, our accomplishments, and our stories. Here, we don’t have to think twice, and can just be yourself without translation or justification. Here, we can share your ideas without fear of repercussions. Here, we can live our identity without pressure to assimilate to avoid facing discrimination or harm. Here we can communicate about experiences with marginalization. Here we can seek, give, and get practical advice. Here, we can just kick it, and have fun being your unapologetic best self.
