Brief de Design Graphique

I'd like to hire a designer (or multiple designers) to create 5-6 "clip-art collage" characters. THIS PROJECT IS FOR JSUT ONE CHARACTER, BUT I HOPE TO FIND THE DESIGNER TALENT TO HELP ME WITH THESE OTHERS TOO. Each character will be made with 4-8 pieces of clip-art, stock photos & simple drawing, am they will be depicting cartoonish, exaggerated, funny expressions of being : 1) cranky, perfectionistic 2) avoidant, zoned out 3) overwhelmed, accountable for all, under-resourced 4) dazed out, love and light transcendent 5) angry, blaming, judging 6) compliant, afraid. These characters are in situations we all know well: watching TV, feeling afraid; being very busy at work; feeling overwhelmed with limitless tasks at home; feeling scared and depressed about the bleak outlook; experiencing real injustice, that is ignored, being in mild to serious levels of conflict with other people.

THIS CONTEST IS FOR ONE CHARACTER. YOUR CHOICE (PLS SPECIFY) : 1) cranky, perfectionistic 2) avoidant, zoned out 3) overwhelmed, accountable for all, under-resourced 4) dazed out, love and light transcendent 5) angry, blaming, judging 6) compliant, afraid.

I MIGHT AWARD THE US$1200 TO ONE DESIGNER, OR I MIGHT AWARD $200/CHARACTER TO MULTIPLE DESIGNERS.

The file below is an example of the final work. Each segment of the collage must be its own separate layer or file. For clips of images, please be ready to document the royalty-free use of the image.

The pieces of media (stock photo clips, clip-art, hand-drawn swiggles) are parts of the character's body. Ideally there are enough so that (when animated in a separate project) they might expand or pop or spin ... all to relay the physical experience of emotion. So, each piece is separate, but together they forma a character. Like a sketch made of digital cut-outs. THESE ARE NOT HAND-DRAWN OR COMPUTER DRAWN CHARACTERS. I'm posting with this emphasis because some designers insist on sharing a complete drawing. These will be rejected.

Today, nearly at contest end, I'm just starting to see the designs that could win this prize. Now that this creative direction is clear, I wanted to give others more time to experiment in the collage styles that I'm looking for. I also want to establish a 2nd & 3rd place prize. So, I'd like to give you all more time (and potentially more money).
