Brief de Web Design

My website smarterpeopleplanning.com needs an updated, current and fresh look. I would like a refreshed logo and branding too. I have another website for my book - www.bemorestrategicinbusiness.com. I need my book highlighted on smaterpeopleplanning.com. My plan is to convert smarterpeopleplanning.com to a squarespace site that I can manage. Right now my website manager is unresponsive so I need to pull the current one down and make a new one on squarespace. I'm using squarespace because that's what we used for my book site. I do like my current site and often get compliments. It just needs a fresh look...maybe something lighter, but I am open to all options. I have little website design experience and no ability to use photoshop, etc. So, I will need the total site design that I can just activate or upload on squarespace.
