Brief de Design de Logo

Hi! I need a logo for my consultancy and coaching company named Mayne Psychology based in Edinburgh, Scotland (Mayne is my surname). I am 27 years old, from a multinational background (England, France, Australia and Japan), and I started my business straight after graduating from my Masters degree.

I teach people the mental skills that foster resilience and emotional endurance. This means going beyond coping with stress - benefiting from it and ultimately finding flow in it. My clients have previously been athletes, businesses (mostly tech industry), recent university graduates and performing artists. My target markets are young professionals, the businesses who hire them and the managers who lead them. My competitors tend to be sport psychologists and performance consultants, although to my knowledge there is no one else in my city that targets young professionals specifically.

My ideas and content are rooted in science (e.g. neuroscience and physiology of endurance), but I strongly value compassion and have a deep respect for human needs such as attention and belonging. Key words that come to mind when thinking about what I aim to teach are patience, equanimity and skill. The key message is that strength on the outside comes from looking inside.

In terms of the logo specifics, I am looking for something to use on my website, my social media, and my email signature. The whole philosophy of the brand is based on understanding stress as something that helps you build strong roots - just like trees do when they are exposed to wind for example. I would be happy with a lettermark/initials only (MP for Mayne Psychology), or a combined icon + company name. I would like to see colours such as soft or dark grey., maybe a nice dark green. The final design should communicate elegance, maturity and strength. I like the symbol of roots, but would like to avoid cliches about nature. I've included certain pictures that I quite like, but the final logo doesn't haven't to look similar to these as long as it communicates the right message.
