Brief de Design de Couverture de Livre
The inspiration for the book is the black and white photo which I’ve attached. I’ve also attached two wonderful designs that were done earlier, which I love – the problem is, I can’t get the rights to that photo, so I need something that EVOKES that Beatles photo, but doesn’t actually use it.
Maybe it’s the same setting, but without the people. Maybe it’s just their instruments. Maybe it’s something else that suggests the Beatles (the early Beatles, circa 1960) but doesn’t actually show them. But it should be subtle. And it should suggest the gritty, rough-edged, sexually-charged environment of Hamburg in 1960.
Or go minimal with it. Be creative! Just make it beautiful.
The cover should also include title, subtitle and author:

I'm getting too many designs that use photos of the Beatles. I CANNOT USE A PHOTO OF THEM ON THE COVER! Please see some of the other examples I've posted.

You can try to suggest the five of them (circa 1960) but it should not look cartoon-y. It's a sexy, gritty novel set in postwar Germany, not in the psychedelic 60's.
