Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo for a new web app that combines the GPS records of cyclists and creates leaderboards for challenges. This is all about competition, and having a bit of fun too. The design should reflect the nature of the app, in that it combines GPS tracks, called "segments". Its called "Segment Spinner", so ideally needs a circular element and also a feeling of connecting two things - perhaps a graph is ok too. It shoudl be fairly simple, just looking for an icon or design to compliment the wording which needs to be readable.

UPDATE
I am getting a lot of designs with a pin drop icon.
It would be better if the graphic was more like the route up a mountain, or a route from above.
I have also seen some with two "S", I like this concept. Joining the lines of the two "S"' perhaps with small arrow heads.
