Brief de Design de Logo

I want a logo for my motorcycle adventure trip. I will be doing some photography (mainly scenic and wildlife) and video of the travels and places. There will be a blog on the website. I want something that is more a symbol than just a design. A symbol that represents the freedom, represents traveling the world, crazy adventures, etc. Designing the symbol is the main focus. To be used as stand alone with out branding. Then add in business name/website/catch phrase later depending on how it is placed onto objects. i.e. just the symbol on my helmet but symbol with name, website, and catch phrase on the back of my pannier.
