Brief de Design de Logo

Need a new logo for rebranding; we manage engineering and design and construction of corrosion projects for oil and gas pipeline companies globally. You can see our current circle logo attached. Boring and mundane.
We need- want some fresh ideas. Manly. Elegant. Think Pipelines. Think highly technical. Think about how we are “the key” to the success of the corrosion industry.
For the back of the business cards we also want to incorporate the Phoenix bird holding a key (like the green business card but using a Phoenix). We are going for bold and fierce. Not mystical or fairy tale.
Our company almost went bankrupt due to bad management. But we have overcome it and are rising out of the flames to become stronger and the best in the world - just like the Phoenix.
The Phoenix image on the white background is a good choice but the company we paid to design the key it is holding and hide the ICC in the head of the key - is an elementary effort at best. My 10th grade could have done that with a vector file and text. (I’m looking for extraordinary)!!
