Brief de Design Graphique
I'd like a design of a detailed (veiled) chameleon that appears real in the center but fades to a lightly digitized look at the ends (feet, tail, edges). The digitized look on the edges should be minimal. In terms of color, the middle of the chameleon should appear various shades of rich green (real-looking), but the end of the legs--where it becomes "digitized" should have a faint shade of (light) red on one side and a faint shade of (light) blue on the other. <br/><br/>This design will be used in a book cover and on a website. It will be part of a brand developed for the book. The book cover (not requested) will have a dark charcoal background, which will enhance the colors used in the chameleon design (requested).<br/><br/>We prefer a closeup "headshot" of the chameleon with the body behind the head.<br/><br/>The tone should feel serious, not playful.<br/><br/>The attached photo is very close to what I'm looking for. It is a bit surreal in that the center of the chameleon looks real, but the edges are clearly blurred and "watery" looking. <br/><br/>The artwork should not have anything in the background so that I can use it in various other creations.

I've had a couple of submissions come in thus far, but none that I would say are complete.
Here are some things that I like that stand out about the current submissions.
1. The chameleon should look real at the head and front two legs, then become "digitized" or pixelated in the back and tail.
2. There should be a very subtle color bleeding effect where the chameleon becomes digitized (red on one side, blue on the other) in the back. The red and blue color bleeding represent the two political parties in the US. So, dark red and dark blue.
3. Aside from the pixelated digitized color bleeding areas in the back, the front of the chameleon should look real but only in various shades of green or white.
4. The center of focus should be on the chameleon's eye.

I recently added a pic to the design brief.
Notice the pic shows the head profile (from the side) of the chameleon in rich detail but is from a front view camera angle.
So, the head is a profile shot, but the body of the chameleon is facing towards the camera. This is the perfect angle.
After reviewing the submissions, I am positive that this is the correct angle that I want to use.

- The viewer of the image should be drawn to the eye of the chameleon. The eye does not have to be in the center of the image, but it should be the point of focus. The digitized red and blue ends should be very subtle; they represent the two-party (political) system in the United States. Transparent background.

- The eye of the chameleon, like in the example picture, should be highly detailed, but the rest of the body does not need to be. The book is about perception, so the eye would be symbolic of what the book is about. It would be nice to have a range of various green tones in the chameleon.
