Brief de Design de Logo

The Rise N Shine Festival is a running and bluegrass music festival to be held in Pittsboro, NC on 6/20/20 at the 75 acre Shakori Hills farmstead.

The day starts with participants being treated to a Southern biscuit before a 5K run, then enjoying pork BBQ and live Bluegrass music. The music continues throughout the day and an 8K run is held in the afternoon with moonshine after the race. The event celebrates Southern US culture in a rustic, rural environment.

We don’t have any preconceived ideas on what elements should be included in the logo but it should reflect elements of running, biscuit, bluegrass and moonshine. The logo should not be too location specific as we plan to have these events in several different locations throughout the year.

I am sure most of you are not familiar with terms I am speaking of, so I will explain some of the terms below. Feel free to do some of your own research on Google or Wikipedia.

A biscuit is a thick and flaky baked good made that is a common accompaniment to meals though it is particularly common in the morning.

Bluegrass music was born in the rural Appalachian area of the US and has English and Scottish music elements. The key instruments are fiddle, mandolin, banjo and double bass. Look it up online and have a listen.

Moonshine is a term for high-proof distilled spirits produced illegally in the past, though some of it is legal now. This was produced prominently in the South and was often drunk from a Mason jar. Another element that could be feature is the still that is used to brew the moonshine
