Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo for a new cannabis company called "The Canopus Company" or simply "Canopus" for short. We are branding finished product for shelf space at dispensaries and storefronts. Thus, it is important we have a logo (and packaging) that will attract consumer attention. This logo is one that we want to be playful and colorful. We are looking to use a cartoon/playful octopus with our name "Canopus" within the octopus. The final design should communicate both the playfulness and the sense of peacefulness (relaxation) one gets when using this product. Our idea is to achieve these characteristics with his eyes, mouth (maybe a small smirk) as well as the positioning of his arms (in meditation or something of that nature). Attached is a mockup we produced for direction. Please use your creativity. This mockup is only an example of our description.
